I got this recipe from my Aunt Yvonne, and I think it is safe to say that, with their secret ingredient, these cookies really ARE the BEST EVER!!!
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup shortening
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. INSTANT vanilla pudding
2 eggs (medium)
1 cup or more chocolate chips
Directions:
Mix together. Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for approx. 10 minutes.

Welcome
These are the foods my family and I love. Not particularly healthy, complicated, or impressive. Just plain, old-fashioned goodness. Coming from a long line of Mennonite cooks (hey! that's one good thing I got out of my background, right??), I know a scrumpitous recipe when I see one. And because I'm not especially good at "winging it" in the kitchen (or elsewhere...but that's another matter), I decided to collect all our favorites into one handy spot. Maybe I'm a bad cook, not being able to cook from scratch and all, but if I follow these recipes, it's sure to be a hit! Happy browsing!
